MCOM Media Communications, will participate once more to the annual International Hotel Technology Forum (IHTF) 2015, the leading event for the hotel technology industry.

IHTF is a mutually effective forum for senior executives of leading international hotel groups to do business with influential supplier companies and also benefit from presentations on the latest strategic thinking, business model evaluation and technological advances such as In-room Entertainment, Digital Signage, CRM, PMS and RMS.

MCOM’s executives had the opportunity to meet with senior representatives from some of the world’s leading companies in the hospitality sector and discuss the latest technology developments. MCOM’s team also participated in the workshops and problem solving sessions of the Forum, on the very latest in management systems, evaluating the current needs of the hospitality sector.

During IHTF, MCOM presented for the first time in the European market the recently developed new features and solutions like Wireless content sharing between guest mobile devices and in-room TVs for iOS and Android devices,  HOTstream Mobile, our application for room-based tablets and guest-owned smart mobile devices (BYOD), both for iOS and Android, HOTstream Smart TV, our solution to provide interactive services using the latest Smart Hotel TVs and HOTstream OMS, the only content management application a hotel needs.

MCOM will be participating for one more year in the Middle East Conference of Hotel Technology Next Generation that will take place in Dubai from May 11 to 13.

Hoteliers that will attend the event, will have the opportunity to experience the HOTstream hospitality suite in the exhibit area.  This year, we will be presenting many new services, innovative features and unique solutions, including:

Wireless content sharing between guest mobile devices and in-room TVs for iOS and Android devices. HOTstream allows guests to bring their own devices (BYOD) or to use room-based mobile devices equipped with HOTstream Mobile application to easily share their own content with in-room TV.

HOTstream Mobile. Our application for room-based tablets and guest-owned smart mobile devices (BYOD), both for iOS and Android. With HOTstream mobile, you enjoy all the unique benefits of a central system for consistent user experience on all devices, instant access to hotel interactive services, advertisement management and more.

HOTstream Smart TV. Our solution to provide interactive services using the latest Smart Hotel TVs that eliminated the need for set top boxes and excessive cabling. HOTstream Smart is compatible with all Hotel Smart TVs as it is based on HTML5 technology.

HOTstream OMS. It is the only content management application a hotel needs to promote guest services and gather feedback and reservations in a uniform way that is independent of the screen or device each guest uses, supporting guest mobile devices, smartphones, tablets, Smart Hotel TVs, room-based tablets and public area digital signage monitors. HOTstream OMS is tightly integrated with the main hotel systems (PMS, POS, Spa, Dining, Sales and Catering, in-room controls and more) and allows the hotel staff to centrally manage guest services.

Kensington Close Hotel in London, an elegant property situated in one of the most sought after areas in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, selected MCOM HOTstream Smart TV, VOD and IPTV solutions.

Kensington Close Hotel guests already enjoy the latest IPTV and VOD technology offered by MCOM HOTstream  and a vast variety of video on demand movies covering an equally vast variety of genres. In parallel, guests can access all interactive hotel services through their in-room Smart Hotel TVs, enhancing the great experience of staying at the Kensington Close Hotel.

A challenge for the installation team was to perform the upgrade without affecting the day-to-day operation of the hotel as Kensington Close hotel experience high occupancy rates throughout the year. With the great help and support we received from all hotel departments involved the team installed HOTsteam Smart TV solution without getting noticed by the guests.

As Mr. Phil Gregg, COO of Cola Holdings Ltd, notes “Following the successful installation and collaboration we had in The Westbury Hotel, we’ve selected HOTstream once more for the largest property in our portfolio. MCOM’s team managed once more to make a smooth transition from our previous system to HOTstream while the hotel was fully booked without any disturbance for our guests”.

In parallel, HOTstream is installed in a number of VVIP villas and yachts in Middle East while our digital signage solution was the solution of preference for one of the largest oil refineries in Middle East.
