The iconic Wythe Hotel on the Williamsburg waterfront in Brooklyn, NY selected the MCOMS HOTstream luxury hospitality suite to provide a cloud-based TV solution for its guests.
The Wythe hotel has chosen to install the HOTstream Cloud TV solution, where everything runs on Amazon WS and is delivered to in-room TVs over the Internet, eliminating the need to acquire and maintain on-premise expensive hardware. Through HOTstream Cloud the hotel has the full suite of MCOMS HOTstream up and running instantly, including Free-to-Guest TV, PMS integration, Video-on-demand, and OTT services. In parallel the guests have access to Interactive TV services, including hotel services such as view bill, reservations, express check-out and hotel messages, hotel facilities information, news, weather reports, travel guides, and access to OTT content from Hulu, Crackle, and YouTube on guestroom TVs.
Located in the heart of Brooklyn, the Wythe Hotel is an 8-story hotel on the Williamsburg waterfront. Built in 1901, a former cooperage has been meticulously converted into the 70-room hotel with a restaurant and rooftop bar by restaurateur Andrew Tarlow. As an anchor to Brooklyn’s most dynamic neighborhood, the Wythe often collaborates with local artists and artisans on the programming.
Among the many unique features that were designed and specially customized for the Wythe hotel, there is a Free-to-Guest cloud VOD service with content from ART21, to bring together the local art community and the Wythe’s guests.
